Grace Kennedy, Designer/Creator of Exercise Grace Fitness Wear
Born in Kingston, Jamaica of Lebanese descent and moved to Vancouver in 1973. She is married and has 4 children. Grace has worked with her parents and siblings in the family’s automobile dealership over the past 30 years. As a hobby, she has written and illustrated numerous children’s books for her own children. She has volunteered in her Canyon Heights community for many years doing special themed event decorating for fundraisers. Her creative instincts and a life-long passion for working out at the gym has recently inspired her to design her own aerobic and yoga wear line.
“In my own home, there were 4 females of varying body types and sizes. I wanted to design fitness wear that we could all feel comfortable and beautiful in. But, more importantly, I wanted to create a label that would serve as a reminder to women, that true beauty and strength starts from within. As I searched for the perfect name for my label, I soon realized that my own name had that very special meaning of both physical and spiritual beauty. And so, “Exercise Grace” was born.
The realization of my first production of fitness wear was launched in Vancouver, B.C. in June, 2007. I designed my logo as a feminine rose…the leaves are represented by the infinity sign, as there is no limit to the amount of grace we can give or receive. It is my wish that when you see my logo, it will be a reminder to you, to not only exercise grace in your life, but also in the lives of those you meet each day.
The world needs more grace my friends, …Let’s exercise it!
More coming soon!
